We finally got some really nice weather and the tarpon have been eating every day at the usual spots along Key Biscayne

Tom Little of Toronto about halfway through a two hour battle with a tarpon about 175lbs

and South Beach.
They are taking crabs and flies equally well.
When the water is calm they are rolling, eating, and free jumping constantly to let you know.

recusitation prior to release of big fish

Tom Little came down from Canada for his first tarpon trip and was rewarded with a fish of about 175 on a fly tied by my friend Tob Signorello called "Midnight Tarp".

Finally after a two hour battle on fly

We have also started to see lot's of permit in the 10-20 lb range at the top of the rising tide. They have been tough to feed flies to. It looks like we are done with the cold fronts that made fishing difficult some days.
