Plenty of tarps

Report Date: June 1, 2009

Still good tarpon activity in the mornings around the Key. Using big black flies in the morning (Rob Signorellos' "Midnight Tarp" pattern) continues to produce well. Lot's of fish over 125 lbs.

Best bait is still big blueclaw crabs drifted behind the boat. We have taken some fish over 140 lbs

Biscayne tarpon

Bonefishing has been good as well, with permit on the top of the tides. Water temps are now around 80-82 degrees. Other that dodging the afternoon thunderstorms the Bay has been in good form.

I plan of being here through July and possibly August this year.
