Montauk recap

Report Date: November 1, 2009

There is no way to pretty it up. 2009 was the most disapointing season anyone can remember. The bass really never got going but a few days late in October. Pretty much the same for the albies and bluefish. The bluefish were small right through September and it was hard to find big fish for the most part even in October. Fishing at Gardiners Island on most days was better than the Point. I think water temps had a lot to do with it as we had 62 degree water well into the latter part of September. Let's hope next year bounces back as there is only one way to go from this situation.
