Montauk comes back strong

Report Date: November 1, 2010

If you were there this fall you were lucky. Some of the best fishing in twenty years as mid to late September had Little Tunny (false albacore) staying up and chewing for long periods of time making life easy for anglers.
Late September and through October had incredible bass fishing with almost no bluefish mixed in.

Not only were the bass abundant but they were big, fat, and strong. The average "schoolie" was 30-32" with lot's of fish in the 36" range.
