Happy Holidays!

Report Date: December 15, 2013

Biscayne Bay has had the usual mix of change in season fishing. After what seemed like weeks in November of big east winds 20-35 knots that made some days unfishable we have settled into our normal winter pattern of east northeast 10-15. With these changes our "winter fish" have settled into there usual spots providing some great non-stop action on both live shrimp and flies. Mixed in are big blue runners, medium sized jacks, spanish mackerel, big ladyfish,

Bob Wallin St. Lawrence University hockey player (class of 1951) enjoyed his first big ladyfish on fly.

bluefish, etc. Sharking for big lemons and black tip on the flats remains good. Bonefishing has been up and down but can be very good when we get a few days of consistent temps and pressure.

Doug Bobb's hard work pays off

Tarpon are once again gathering in Government Cut and on Southbeach as well. To all my angling friends, have a safe and wonderful holiday season!!
