Windy January

Report Date: January 17, 2017

It's been blowing hard since Christmas with a few light wind days here and there. If you get a good stretch of weather you can capitalize on some good bonefishing.

Another option is to hit the channels between the flats for what can be non-stop action on both fly and spin for big blue runners

. You have to take advantage of the weather situation at hand. Our "winter" tarpon showed up late December right on schedule giving some anglers that hit it right some very good fishing out in front of Southbeach but a few big wind days has pushed them offshore for a bit where there are without any boats to bother them for a while.
